Roller shutters manufactured in Kent
A roller shutter is the most cost-effective way to secure a large opening. The curtain rolls into a barrel above the opening, so nothing intrudes into the space when it is open — which is why they suit loading bays, shopfronts, warehouse openings and plant rooms equally well.
We manufacture at our own works at Sutton Valence near Maidstone, so sizes, slat types and finishes are built to your opening rather than cut down from stock. Our engineers install and maintain what we make.
Types of roller shutter we supply
Insulated roller shutters
A double-skinned, foam-filled lath that reduces heat loss and noise. The usual choice where an opening is in constant use and the building is heated, or where quieter operation matters.
Industrial roller shutters
Single-skin steel lath built for hard use on warehouse, depot and industrial openings. Robust, straightforward, and the workhorse of the range.
Security roller shutters
Heavier gauge curtains and reinforced guides where the primary job is resisting attack — retail frontages, stock rooms, cash-handling areas and vulnerable ground-floor openings.
Perforated and punched lath
Where you need the shutter closed but the display or airflow visible. Common on shopping-centre units and car park frontages.

How the process works
- Free site survey. We measure the opening, check the lintel and power, and talk through how the door will be used.
- Quotation. A written, itemised quote — no obligation.

- Installation. Fitted by our own engineers, tested and handed over with documentation.
- Maintenance. Planned servicing to keep the door compliant and working, plus 24/7 emergency cover.
Servicing and repair
Powered doors are work equipment. They need to be maintained in efficient working order, and a service record matters if anything is ever questioned. We service shutters we installed and shutters we did not — including other manufacturers’ equipment.
If a shutter has failed and the opening is insecure, call 01622 843111. The emergency line is answered around the clock.
Common questions
How much does a roller shutter cost?
Price depends on the opening size, the lath type and whether the shutter is manual or powered. There is no useful list price — we survey free of charge and quote against your actual opening.
How long does installation take?
Most single shutters are installed in a day once manufactured. Lead time from order to fit depends on the specification; we confirm it in writing when we quote.
Can you repair a shutter you did not install?
Yes. We repair and maintain shutters from other manufacturers as well as our own.
How often should a roller shutter be serviced?
It depends on how heavily the door is used. A door cycling many times a day needs attention far more often than one opened weekly — we will recommend an interval at survey.
Do you fit shutters outside Kent?
Yes. We cover London, Kent, East Sussex, Surrey and Essex from our base near Maidstone.
